Autumnal Days on the Farm

Well we have had a warm dry Autumn on the farm so far this year. However, there has been a definite chill in the air over the last few days so jumpers and hats have been donned. In fact as I write I am watching the tendrils of flames flickering around the newly placed logs on my wood burning stove and thinking that this is one of  the benefits of the clocks going back and the cold dark nights drawing in.

If you are lucky enough to have a real fire/stove you can call in to get your logs from the farm, they are dry, seasoned, ready to burn and are only £3.75 per bag. We have a bulk buy offer of ten bags for only £35 if you are collecting them. We can also deliver logs directly to your door along with our lovely fresh fruit and veg boxes and sacks of potatoes. Our minimum delivery is only £10 to the local area and you might notice us out and about a bit more as our van has been in for a bit of a revamp.

Christmas is only just around the corner and we have already had customers wanting to know when they can come in for a tree! We have been busy clearing the weeds from the Christmas tree patch and will be opening up the fields from the last weekend in November.

In the nursery we have been busy tidying up and potting up plants to be ready for the spring however you really don't need to wait til then to get planting. Now is an ideal time to plant out fruit trees and bushes as well as new shrubs so that they will be established and ready to get growing when the ground warms up in the spring. We also have lots of  well rotted manure to give the garden a good feed.

So come on in to see us or call us for a delivery on 07981211016 we'd love to hear from you soon.
